Nice $300+ Day

Hello!

Since Feb, I see nice increase in commissions due to my recent analysis that I’ve did on one of the sites that I’ve been working on since December.

The manual link building seems like the most dull and boring work to do, yet this is the kind of work to bring results like today’s!

I’ve told in my recent post that I’ve discovered that my links for one of affiliate programs are outdated. So far, I’ve sent over 1000 clickthroughs to the program in January and none of the clicks converted – nonsense!

Now that I’ve figured this out, I already see a nice return – this night brought me some bump in traffic and sales number quadrupled:

Another my affiliate program brought in 3 sales and 224.92$ commissions from just 16 unique clicks! This is really nice since my site in not even close to top 100 for the main keyword I’m targeting now!

The beauty of SEO is that you work on your site, target some set of keywords, and you see some conversions from the keywords you’ve never thought of! I really don’t know where my site is getting that traffic, since I’m far from top 10 yet for keywords that converted in PPC campaigns.

Internal likning – the site that promotes itself!

I’m just touching the surface here, but this is critically important if you want to get results like this – in fact, I’m only promoting 1 single inner page on my site that is having at least 10 pages of unique money content. This page is targeting a brand name and contains a review of the product that I want to sell. However, the keyword is really hard to crack, so the rankings go up very slowly.

But, since I’ve srated promoting this inner page, I’ve seen what I see now – sales from other pages that also grew their rankings! Why that? Proper internal linking!

I need to analise what I did and maybe I’l write a post solely devoted to internal linking, but this is really what makes a self-promoting site. Today I hardly see any sites that are having good internal linking structure. This makes webmasters spend a lot of efforts promoting each and every page that they want to see in top 10. In fact, this could be achieved with just good internal linking structure ;)

Physical products VS Clickbank

Worth mentioning that these sales are coming from physical products. I would recmonnend targeting physical stuff online, Clickbank just sucks in terms of conversions!

You may remember my last SEO experiment that I’ve started in December – these 4 sites are promoting the same Clickbank product in weight loss niche. Guess what? I’ve never seen a single sale yet, however my recent rankings show that I’ve achieved nice positions that already get some traffic to the sites.

So, I’ve decided that I no longer mess with Clickbank seriously, maybe throw it in the mix sometimes if I build new sites, but main goal is targeting niches where there’s a good supply (and demand for) physical products!

Outsourcing News

I’ve spent 2 last days actively looking for article writers, and hired 2 writers yesterday. There’s definitely a learning curve in this outsourcing field, and I’m already seeing some issues and possible fixes. I’ll update the blog on this topic once getting some results from my outsourcing projects.

I’m really interested in how fixed rates compare with hourly rates in terms of return on investment!

OK, back to work now. See you!

  1. Just found your blog…off Mike Iser’s blog. I LOVE your in-line SEO tactics, in fact, what you describe (re: Dec 17th post I think it was, on satellite sites, etc.) is in step with Lisa Parmley’s inlineseo company. I would like to get her course, but her videos/emails have explained what you are doing…it also sounds an awful lot like the 30-day challenge group’s ideas, but bottom line: loving your info.

I really wanted to say to you two things:

    1) I agree on the physical products vs. the clickbank products – unless you use Google Sniper system, that is – but even then, the physical products have a much higher $ and satisfaction imho. I sold about $4k worth of a certain product on Commission Junction – off an AdSense site! – so that site made me about $400 alone for January (uncommon for AdSense).

    2) I freelance. On Elance. Hit me up, I write well, top 1.2% of Elance stats for writers, just identify yourself and I’ll need to verify it’s you. I’m not begging for work, believe me, but I love your content and will cut you a deal.

Anyhow, sorry for the shameless plug, but with 7 kids, a man’s gotta eat, you know? :)

All the success to you, and I’ve subscribed to your blog. Love the tips.

    Hi James!

    Thanks for your comment

It’s OK with plug, I’m growing the business now and I definitely will need good writers so I’ve made a note in the article writers file ;)

Really never heard of Lisa, just checked her on google and found her article profiles – but no mention of her course …

Yes I was just documenting the mini-sites progress, love to share ideas and this also helps to keep being organized as well! These 4 sites are now making no money, Clickbank product just don’t convert at all (this is fatloss4idiots so it might convert). What I’ll do is alter the presells a bit to switch to weight loss pills!

Maybe I’ll analyse the reasons of that and write in a post, I think keyword selection is what makes or breaks our profits.. The problem with Sniper method (as I see it) is that we tend to look for keywords with really easy-to-rank indicators. I was very pleased to find that my brand new “Hello world” blog ranks #4 in google, and started to think deeper into how to turn this into business. And I see the Mike Iser (and others) are already making this work!

THe strategy that is working well for CB products is affiloblueprint style sites, like http://www.wowblackbook.com (Mark Ling’s site) – this is what I’d plan to make in future, since I find that authority sites tend to convert much better than mini-sites. However properly created mini converts well also.

Selling over 4000$ worth of CJ products is really cool!!! I still haven’t made any sites for CJ specifically, they warn me of account closing, so I’ll work hard to make at least 1 commission with CJ – there’s a mass opportunity on CJ for sniper sites ;)

400$ from your adsense in 1 month from just 1 site – you’re the man James! My goal is 500$ in adsense per month, to make a living with these money and reinvest the rest back into busniess.

This is what I’m planning out now, will update the blog soon!
